Whether you need to rebuild, renovate, or add some support to your inner haven. You’re at the right place.

Book

If you’re here, you’ve already done something brave: you’ve been true to your authentic self in acknowledging that something in your inner haven is feeling off and needs tending to. In a city where anxiety is rising, work culture is intense, and the political climate can feel draining, many people cope through people-pleasing, over-functioning, or intellectualizing. Therapy can add some breathing room and be an opportunity to slow things down as we assess.

Working Together

What sessions look like:

  • Currently all sessions are via telehealth but optional in-person is coming soon

  • The diagnostic assessment is 90 minutes — this way you do not feel rushed as we begin to unpack your story.

  • All sessions afterward are the standard 50-60 minutes

  • A space with a lot of active listening on my end, for you to process your emotions while gently being challenged with Socratic questioning

  • Working together to identify core beliefs and negative thought patterns

  • You’re in the driver’s seat! While it’s your session, I know therapy can feel daunting. We’ll work together to identify your pace and needs.

What is inner child therapy?

Inner child work is about focusing on the parts of you that have been wounded and remain so due to coping styles that can prevent us from truly feeling our feelings (think numbness, self-criticism, self-isolation, running away, fawning/people-pleasing), denial, distraction, and more. With inner child therapy you are aiming to both identify these wounds, connect them to core beliefs, and foster healing through your current self by tending to these wounds with patience, nurturance, understanding, and strength.

Easing in…

our first few sessions are about slowing down and getting to know each other. During this time, we focus on building trust, exploring what brings you to therapy, and clarifying your goals. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance, the relationship between us, is one of the most powerful predictors of healing and growth within therapy.

To support this, I offer a 30-Day Flex Period: a time to explore whether my practice and our connection feel aligned. Over these first 30 days, we’ll take things intentionally slow rather than rushing into structure or goals. You’ll have space to notice how therapy feels for you, and whether it supports the kind of growth you’re seeking.

You’re welcome to pause, continue, or transition at any time. The purpose is to practice mindfulness and intentional decision-making from the very beginning, centering your needs and anchoring where you are right now.

What I bring:

A warm, non-judgmental presence that helps you feel safe and seen.

  1. A strengths-based, trauma-informed lens that honors your pace and resilience.

  2. Curiosity and transparency — I’ll check in often about what’s working or not.

  3. Tools and resources from CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic frameworks to support awareness and change.

  4. Guidance and psychoeducation that help you understand your patterns with self-compassion

  5. A belief that healing is nonlinear, and takes time. We’ll celebrate the small shifts! Therapy will be about you, your pace, and needs.

What you bring:

A personal decision to enter therapy

  1. A willingness and curiosity to explore your thoughts and feelings.

  2. Openness to give feedback if you need more clarity, direction, or a different pace.

  3. The vulnerability that comes with communicating your goals, needs, and hopes as you see appropriate.

  4. Patience with yourself and with the process; growth unfolds over time.

  5. Courage to practice what we discuss between sessions, integrating your insights into your daily life.
