Living with Purpose Workshops Part 1

Learn evidence-based approaches from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to begin the year with intentionality towards your values.

Are you having trouble committing to new year's resolutions? Unclear about where to put your time and energy in a world with lots of stress and demands?

Join us for Part 1 of an experiential workshop series, Living with Purpose, where you can learn more about what's important to you, who you want to be (through good times and bad), and how to set attainable goals you can follow through with.

In Part 1, we will engage in exercises to help connect with the present moment, clarify your values, and reflect on your own experiences to help create a plan for moving forward towards your goals.

You may sign up for just Part 1 or Part 2, signing up for both workshops is not required.

Valentine's Day 101: Affirming Sex and Relationship Q&A

Come get in the Valentine's Day spirit by joining us at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library to ask anonymous questions of an expert panel of sex and relationship therapists!

Ahead of Valentine's Day, head to the library, where an expert panel of sex and relationship therapists will be on hand to answer your intimate (or not) questions anonymously.

Bring a date or come solo, it's sure to be a fun, informative, sex-positive, and affirming time! Although the program is open to all, it is geared toward adults.

The event will take place in the Fifth Floor Event Space where library staff will be on hand to assist with distributing and collecting paper on which you can write down questions that will then be asked of the panelists. Panelists will not be able to give out medical advice, but everything else is able to be asked! For more information feel free to e-mail adultservices.dcpl@dc.gov

QTPOC Support Group

Welcome to our 8-week, online QTPOC Support Group! We’ll meet virtually every Wednesday from February 4, 2026 – March 25, 2026.

The full series is $25 for access to all 8 sessions, and we also offer sliding-scale and free spots to ensure that everyone who wants and needs to be here can join.

The group will be facilitated by queer people of color, creating an environment grounded in familiarity, shared experience, and deep cultural understanding. Our facilitators hold this space with care so that you can feel seen, supported, and met as your whole self.

This group is a dedicated space for queer and trans people of color to gather, breathe, and be held in community. Whether you’re seeking support, connection, tools for healing, or simply a place where you don’t have to explain yourself, you’re welcome here.

Our sessions take place online, so you can join from wherever you feel safest and most comfortable. Come as you are—your stories, your identities, your complexities, and your joy are all honored in this space.

Together, we’ll build a space rooted in care, affirmation, and solidarity. We can’t wait to meet you and build community with you!
